You could live with trash so long that you don’t know what a real treasure looks like any more. Chaos could become normal.
It’s how beautiful women end up with violent men.
You get used to the arguments. You get used to the fights. You get used to the making up. You just get used to that life.
And once it becomes normal, confusion sets in. And when confusion takes over, you just forget that you’re the real treasure.
You’re the treasure.
Not your man. Not his roses. Not your clothes. Not your position. Not who you know.
Standing flat-footed. Face to face with God, the earth and everything in the middle. You’re the treasure.
But what about all that trash you’ve been speaking for years?
Spoken word is everything.
the spoken word is everything
from a God perspective it’s how we came to be
from a life perspective it’s the shape of things
what you speak becomes your living dream now
whether it’s nightmares, fairytales or something in between
is what makes living both scary
If your spoken word is everything, then it’s time to make a change.
Speak life instead of death.
For example, you hear
I’m the only man who will ever love you.”
When in reality you are
fearfully and wonderfully made (Ps 139:14)”
he who finds a wife finds a good thing (Prov 18:22).”
My mistake was accepting a man who on his worst days didn’t treat me like “a good thing,” and believing I was handling the situation when in reality you cannot bottle rage. Eventually, it explodes over everything.
You’re a treasure and it’s important that you see this. You’re the jewel. And you need to be treated that way, or you simply cannot stay.
It’s funny, the decision to stay or go is personal — but the consequences are global.
Staying hurts. But “That’s My Business”
It hurts you. It hurts your real friends. It hurts your family and everyone who loves you the most, especially the children.
And I just wonder, what could a boy or girl become in a peaceful home?
I know it hurt and that it takes strength to go, but I also know you’re strong.
Love, Lady J
